ART WALK#2 'From Amsterdamse Poort to Grote Markt’
Route in Google maps: goo.gl/maps/vpLRJSTX4fn7mneD7. Walking from Amsterdamse Poort, starting with Art by Theo Mulder, sculpture of the heroine Kenau and the women of Haarlem, the struggle for independence during the 80-year war in the 16th century and through Spaarnwouderstraat.
Gallery SPW59 the place where Haarlem's most famous woman, Kenau Simonsdochter Hasselaer lived. Until 1980, the current building was used by grocer Simon De Wit. The former retail space is now an inspiring, bright and attractive exhibition space hosting changing exhibitions of contemporary art.
